Epoxy CloudIron Intermediate Paint
一、Composition: This product is made from epoxy resin, micaceous ironoxide red, other anti-rust pigments, fillers, additives, solvents, and aminecuring agents.
二、Uses: It is used as an anti-rust primer for areas above thewaterline on ships, superstructures, and various compartments. It is alsosuitable for offshore facilities, corresponding areas, and onshore steelstructures, equipment, bridges, and vehicles as an anti-rust primer.
三、Characteristics: It offers excellent adhesion, anti-rustperformance, water resistance, salt spray resistance, and good resistance tochemical agents.
四、Instructions for Use:
1. Component Mixing: The A and B componentsmust be mixed strictly according to the specified ratio. Add an appropriateamount of thinner to achieve the desired application viscosity [recommendedviscosity is 20-28 seconds (at 25°C)]. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is uniform, then filterthrough a 60-80 mesh screen. Allow the mixture to sit for 10-15 minutes beforeapplication.
2.Usage Time: After mixing the twocomponents, they should be used within the specified time frame (4 hours at 30°C, 6 hours at 20°C).
3.Application on Special Areas: Forcorners, weld seams, cut edges, and other areas that are difficult to spray ormay not receive adequate coating, apply 1-2 layers of this paint with a brushbefore proceeding with large-area spraying. This ensures the required thicknessof the paint film on all surfaces.
4.Ensuring Anti-Corrosion Film Thickness:Ensure that the paint film thickness meets the anti-corrosion requirements. Ifthe desired thickness is not achieved, apply three or four coats. Sufficientpaint film thickness is essential for rust and corrosion protection of steelstructures.
